About Sarah Armstrong

Sarah Madden Armstrong was raised in Birmingham, Michigan, with two younger brothers and happily married parents (for more than fifty-five years and still going strong). Sarah attended Georgetown University, as a scholarship athlete, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Business Administration with a major in Marketing. She was a four-year starter on the Georgetown University Volleyball Team.

Sarah began her career with Leo Burnett in Media. In 1997, she joined The Coca-Cola Company in Worldwide Media. In 2006, Sarah led the company’s global approach to Agency Management. Her work has been recognized as industry leading around the world, resulting in Sarah being named in 2009 as one of Ad Age‘s “Women to Watch” and her inclusion in Ad Age‘s Book of Tens “Top Ten Who Made Their Mark.” In 2017, Sarah joined McKinsey & Company, a leading global management consulting firm, as a Partner to advise clients around the world on agency management and marketing operations. In 2020, Sarah joined Google to lead Global Marketing Operations.

Sarah has a wanderlust for travel and has been fortunate to travel to 46 out of 50 states and 55+ countries so far. When she is not traveling, she is involved with Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation and, over the years, has been involved with Georgetown Alumni Admissions Program and Trinity Table Soup Kitchen.

Sarah is also author of The Mom’s Guide to a Good Divorce (which she self-published in 2016 through her publishing company Life Journey Experiences). Sarah does not think there is enough conversation in society about the concept of a “good divorce” and is hoping to help shift societal perception that a “good divorce” is an attainable outcome.

Sarah loves spending time with her daughter, Grace… whether it is exploring a new city, trying a new restaurant, listening to a new favorite playlist, watching a good movie, or entertaining friends… always enjoying the special moments together.
